Human Laminin Gamma 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Laminin gamma 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated microplate; an antibody specific for Laminin gamma 1 captures the target from standards or test samples, the wells are washed, and a Biotinylated Anti-Laminin gamma 1 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate solution visualises the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution; the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of Laminin gamma 1 is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The product range is 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 12.1 pg/ml, and the assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader platform with a total assay time of 4h 30m. The manufacturer's recovery data show average values of 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%), with linearity dilution data reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components include a pre-coated 96 well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Storage instructions call for keeping components at +4°C or -20°C as directed, and the kit should not be used past the expiration date.
