Human Lamin B2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Lamin B2 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for Lamin B2 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added and any Lamin B2 present is captured, then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Lamin B2 Antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction produces a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to Lamin B2 concentration; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and quantified against the standard curve.

Quoted sensitivity is 0.051 ng/ml with a measurement range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave average recoveries of 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma. Components supplied include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as indicated on each component.
