Human Lactoferrin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Lactoferrin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an immobilised capture antibody specific for Lactoferrin, a biotinylated anti-Lactoferrin detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, with the enzymatic reaction visualised by absorbance at 450 nm. The product range is 0.312–20 ng/ml, sensitivity is <0.125 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported values for serum samples (n=5) range from 80% to 102% with an average of 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81% to 100% averaging 90%; and heparin plasma (n=5) from 80% to 89% averaging 84%. The kit is intended for human samples only, and components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
