Human Lactamase Beta ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human LACTB in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for LACTB pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where LACTB is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-LACTB Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution. The absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader is proportional to the amount of LACTB captured in each well.

Sensitivity is 0.093 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml. The assay takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. Recovery has been characterised in serum (average 91%, range 80–102%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 90%, range 81–100%, n=5), and heparin plasma (average 84%, range 80–89%, n=5), with linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across these same sample types.
