Human L Selectin ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human L Selectin in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The kit shows no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant human sL-Selectin.

Assays are performed on a colorimetric microplate platform. A monoclonal antibody specific for human sL-Selectin is immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells and sL-Selectin present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for sL-Selectin is added, followed by streptavidin-HRP. Substrate solution reacts with HRP and color develops in proportion to the amount of sL-Selectin bound. The reaction is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density is measured by a microplate reader.

The assay range is 78.13 - 5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 9.46 pg/ml. Average recovery from serum samples is 104%. The kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date.
