Human Klotho Beta ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Klotho Beta (KLB) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for KLB is pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and KLB is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-KLB Antibody binds the captured target, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quoted assay range is 78.1–5000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of <30 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been evaluated in serum (n=5; average 91%, range 80%–102%), EDTA plasma (n=5; 90%, 81%–100%) and heparin plasma (n=5; 84%, 80%–89%). Dilutional linearity is reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across these sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
