Human Kinesin 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com, intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Kinesin Heavy Chain 2 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips); standards and samples are added, the captured analyte is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Kinesin Heavy Chain 2 antibody, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. Signal is generated with TMB substrate, read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and is proportional to the amount of Kinesin Heavy Chain 2 bound. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

According to the manufacturer, the kit has a stated sensitivity of <0.106 ng/ml and a working range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Reported mean recovery values (n=5) were 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity was reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Supplied components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
