Human Keratocan ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Keratocan/KTN in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips, with detection carried out on a colorimetric microplate reader by measuring absorbance at 450 nm. The reported assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.107 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay principle: standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with an antibody specific for Keratocan/KTN, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Keratocan/KTN Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added to produce a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; the absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to Keratocan/KTN concentration and is read against a standard curve. Reported recovery values average 95% for serum (n=5, range 90%-101%), 95% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 91%-99%), and 94% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 90%-99%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Reactive with human samples, the assay is suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates.
