Human Keratin 5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cytokeratin 5 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a capture antibody specific for Cytokeratin 5, paired with a biotinylated anti-Cytokeratin 5 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with a TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Stated sensitivity is 6.2 pg/ml and the working range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Validation in serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5) and heparin plasma (n=5) returned average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively, with recommended sample dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16. Components supplied include the pre-coated plate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
