Human Keratin 40 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Hair Cortex Cytokeratin/K40 in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate and uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format: standards and samples are incubated in wells where the analyte is captured by an immobilized antibody, then detected with a biotinylated anti-Hair Cortex Cytokeratin/K40 antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The colour reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Performance characteristics include an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.064 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. The kit is reactive with human samples. Reported average recovery values are approximately 91% in serum (range 83–100%, n=5), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 91–98%, n=5), and 94% in heparin plasma (range 90–99%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
