Human Keratin 4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cytokeratin 4 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The procedure uses a pre-coated microplate to bind Cytokeratin 4 from standards and test samples via an immobilised specific antibody. A biotinylated anti-Cytokeratin 4 antibody is then added, followed by HRP-Avidin and TMB substrate; the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colourmetric microplate reader and is proportional to the amount of Cytokeratin 4 captured in each well.

Manufacturer-quoted performance specifications include a working range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.053 ng/ml, with the full assay completed in 4 hours 30 minutes. In spike-and-recovery testing (n=5), average values of 91% were obtained for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma, and dilution testing was performed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
