Human Keratin 14 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cytokeratin 14 (Keratin 14) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate, using a biotinylated anti-Cytokeratin 14 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Signal is visualised by the HRP enzymatic reaction with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with Cytokeratin 14 concentration calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Stated performance: sensitivity of 0.053 ng/ml and product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Recovery was assessed in three matrices: serum (n=5) 83% - 100%, average 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 90% - 103%, average 96%; heparin plasma (n=5) 89% - 102%, average 95%. Linearity was tested at dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum (n=5) at 83-110%, 79-100%, 90-98% and 82-108%; EDTA plasma (n=5) at 90-98%, 90-105%, 73-109% and 87-91%; and heparin plasma (n=5) at 88-103%, 77-105%, 95-98% and 87-110%.
