Human Kallistatin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Kallistatin/PI-4 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The format uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an immobilised capture antibody specific for Kallistatin/PI-4. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Kallistatin/PI-4 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of Kallistatin/PI-4 is calculated against the standard curve.

The assay reports a sensitivity of <0.61 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 1.56–100 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Validated matrices are serum, EDTA plasma, heparin plasma, and tissue homogenates. Across these samples (n=5), reported mean recoveries range from 84% (heparin plasma) to 91% (serum), with the broader observed range across sample types and dilutions spanning 74%–108%. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and must not be used past the expiration date.
