Human Kallikrein 6 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Kallikrein 6 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cerebrospinal fluid, breast milk or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Kallikrein 6 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added and Kallikrein 6 present in each sample is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Kallikrein 6 Antibody binds the captured target, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. The HRP enzymatic reaction is visualised using TMB substrate, which produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Kallikrein 6 captured, read as O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and calculated against the standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.126 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with colourmetric detection on a pre-coated microplate platform. Assay time is 4h 30m. Reported average recoveries are: Serum 91% (range 80%–102%, n=5), EDTA Plasma 90% (range 81%–100%, n=5), and Heparin Plasma 84% (range 80%–89%, n=5). Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
