Human Islet Amyloid Polypeptide ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Islet Amyloid Polypeptide (Amylin/DAP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay covers a standard range of 7.81-500 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <2.26 pg/ml, using colourimetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Built on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, the assay uses a competitive enzyme immunoassay principle. A biotinylated anti-target antibody competes with analyte present in samples or standards for binding to the immobilised antigen; an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate then produce a yellow colour whose intensity is inversely proportional to analyte concentration. Total assay time is 2h 30m, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma across the tested sample panel.
