Human Iron Responsive Element Binding Protein 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human IREB2/IRP2 (Iron Responsive Element Binding Protein 2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, an antibody specific for IREB2/IRP2 immobilised on the plate, a biotinylated anti-IREB2/IRP2 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate used to generate a coloured product read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The concentration of IREB2/IRP2 is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Sensitivity is <0.124 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml. Approximate assay time is 4h 30m. Sample recovery has been evaluated in serum (n=5, 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, 80%–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions has been reported for serum (87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%), EDTA plasma (90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%) and heparin plasma (84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%). Kit components include pre-coated 96-well strips, lyophilised standard (2 vials), detection solutions A and B (120 μl each), 30X wash buffer (20 ml), sample dilution buffer (45 ml), TMB substrate (9 ml), stop solution (6 ml) and adhesive plate sealers.
