Human Interleukin 9 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay enables quantitative in vitro measurement of human Interleukin 9 (IL-9) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The test uses a pre-coated microplate supplied as 12 × 8 well strips and takes 4 hours 30 minutes to perform. The standard curve covers a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.063 ng/ml. Detection is colorimetric: HRP-Avidin catalyses TMB substrate to a blue product that becomes yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

In spiked recovery experiments (n=5), average recovery was 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions: serum (n=5) yielded 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% respectively; EDTA plasma (n=5) yielded 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; heparin plasma (n=5) yielded 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.

Kit contents comprise a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 × 8 well strips), lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30× Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips). Components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
