Human Interleukin 8 Receptor Alpha ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CXCR1 (Interleukin 8 Receptor Alpha) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive for human samples and uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

A specific capture antibody is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added so that CXCR1 binds to the wells. After washing, a biotinylated anti-CXCR1 detection antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow on addition of acidic stop solution; the absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the amount of CXCR1 captured in each well and is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.072 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, and an assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its stated expiration date.
