Human Interleukin 6 Receptor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human IL-6R in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, urine or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for IL-6R. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where IL-6R is captured by the immobilized antibody. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-IL-6R antibody binds the captured IL-6R, and an HRP-avidin conjugate is then added. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The reported sensitivity is 0.67 ng/ml with an assay range of 1.87-120 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Average recovery of spiked IL-6R was reported as 91% in serum (range 83-100%), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 90-99%), and 96% in heparin plasma (range 91-101%). Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
