Human Interleukin 33 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin-33 (IL-33). The assay is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for human samples.

The kit uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for IL-33. Standards and samples are added, and captured IL-33 is detected using a biotinylated anti-IL-33 antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The standard assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.1 pg/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Recovery averages are reported as 91% for serum (range 83-100%, n=5), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 91-98%, n=5) and 94% for heparin plasma (range 90-99%, n=5). Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
