From Antibodies.com, this Human Interleukin 29 (IL-29) ELISA Kit is a quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the in vitro measurement of human IL-29 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids.

The procedure uses a pre-coated microplate. Standards or samples are added and IL-29 is captured by the immobilised antibody; a biotinylated anti-IL-29 detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate are then added, followed by TMB substrate. The resulting colour is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the IL-29 concentration is calculated against a standard curve. The stated product range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.6 pg/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recoveries in undiluted samples (n=5) were 91% for serum (range 83–100%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 90–103%), and 94% for heparin plasma (range 90–99%); dilution linearity was demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in the same three matrices.
