From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin 28B in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. A biotinylated anti-IL-28B detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate are used in conjunction with TMB substrate, producing a chromogenic signal whose intensity is proportional to IL-28B concentration.

The standard product range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 5.6 pg/ml, and the assay takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes to perform. Spiked recovery in serum averaged 93% over a range of 84-102%, in EDTA plasma averaged 95% (91-100%), and in heparin plasma averaged 95% (92-98%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
