Human Interleukin 27 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human IL-27A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate supplied in a 12 x 8 well strip format and is completed in 4h 30m. The standard curve covers a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 5.9 pg/ml, and detection is colorimetric, measured by absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader after addition of TMB substrate.

The kit employs a sandwich immunoassay in which an antibody specific for IL-27A is pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added and any IL-27A present is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IL-27A Antibody is added followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. The HRP enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the intensity of the yellow colour proportional to the amount of IL-27A in each well. Recovery has been validated in serum (n=5, 83%-100%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 90%-103%, average 96%) and Heparin plasma (n=5, 90%-99%, average 94%), with linearity assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across these same sample types.
