Human Interleukin 25 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the quantitative measurement of human Interleukin 25 (IL-25). The kit is reactive with human samples and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate and read colorimetrically at 450 nm, with a quantitative standard range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a reported sensitivity of 5.67 pg/ml. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

The assay uses the sandwich immunoassay principle: an immobilised antibody specific for IL-25 captures the analyte from standards or samples, a biotinylated anti-IL-25 antibody binds the captured IL-25, and an HRP–avidin conjugate catalyses TMB substrate to produce a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to IL-25 concentration in each well. Sample recovery has been characterised across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. For neat samples, mean recoveries of 91% (serum), 96% (EDTA plasma) and 94% (heparin plasma) were obtained across n=5 replicates, with individual ranges of 83–100%, 90–103% and 90–99% respectively. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum recoveries of 90–99%, 82–108%, 82–96% and 92–103%, EDTA plasma recoveries of 84–105%, 88–94%, 89–107% and 72–106%, and heparin plasma recoveries of 89–92%, 88–108%, 84–102% and 90–98% (n=5 each).
