Human Interleukin 24 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Interleukin 24 ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of human IL-24. It is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay is performed on a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where IL-24 is captured by an immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-IL-24 antibody is added, followed by HRP-avidin and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution and the absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader; IL-24 concentration is then calculated against the standard curve. The standard curve covers a product range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of <27 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Spike-and-recovery performance in serum (n=5) averaged 91% (range 83%–100%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) averaged 96% (range 90%–103%), and in heparin plasma (n=5) averaged 94% (range 90%–99%). Dilutional linearity has been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
