Human Interleukin 22 Receptor Alpha 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin 22 Receptor Alpha 2 (IL-22 RA2/IL-22BP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. Reactivity is human, and the application is Sandwich ELISA.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for IL-22 RA2/IL-22BP is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and the IL-22 RA2/IL-22BP present in each sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation, the wells are washed and then incubated with Biotinylated Anti-IL-22 RA2/IL-22BP Antibody, which binds the captured target. HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added and the plate is incubated. After further incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction by catalysis to produce a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after the addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of IL-22 RA2/IL-22BP captured in each well. Concentration is then calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

Product range is 0.312-20 ng/ml and sensitivity is <0.127 ng/ml. Assay time is 4h 30m. The platform is a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips with colorimetric detection on a microplate reader. Recovery data from the manufacturer report serum (n=5) at 80% - 102% with an average of 91%, EDTA plasma (n=5) at 81% - 101% averaging 91%, and heparin plasma (n=5) at 80% - 89% averaging 84%. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
