Human Interleukin 20 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this assay kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin 20 (IL-20) using a sandwich ELISA format [C0][S1]. It is reactive with human IL-20 and is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids [C0][S1].

The assay employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) [S1]. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where IL-20 binds to an immobilized capture antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IL-20 Antibody binds the captured IL-20, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate addition. A TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader [S1]. Detection is colourimetric [S1].

The standard curve spans 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.1 pg/ml [S1]. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes [S1]. Validation in serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5) and heparin plasma (n=5) reports average recoveries of 91%, 96% and 94% respectively, with dilution-linearity data available across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions [S1]. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date [S1].
