Human Interleukin-2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin-2 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and other biological fluids. It detects both natural and recombinant human IL-2 and has shown no cross-reactivity with other cytokines tested.

The kit uses a quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. A microplate pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for IL-2 binds IL-2 from standards and samples. After washing, an enzyme-linked polyclonal antibody specific for IL-2 is added, followed by a further wash and the addition of a substrate solution that produces colour proportional to the amount of IL-2 bound. Colour intensity is measured using a Colorimetric Microplate Reader.

Two calibration diluents are supplied: Calibrator Diluent I for serum/plasma testing and Calibrator Diluent II for cell culture supernatant testing. The reported assay range is 6.7-2500 pg/ml with a sensitivity of < 6.7 pg/ml. Assay time is 4h 30m, and the product is shipped and stored at 4°C.
