Human Interleukin 18 Binding Protein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin 18 Binding Protein (IL-18BP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and uses a biotinylated anti-IL-18BP detection antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the standard curve covers a product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml with a reported sensitivity of 0.063 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing showed averages of 91% in serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 91% in EDTA plasma (81%-101%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (80%-89%, n=5). Linearity upon dilution is documented for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions.

Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated on the component label, and the kit should not be used past the stated expiration date.
