Human Interleukin 17B ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin 17B (IL-17B) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips and is read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The standard curve covers a range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.8 pg/ml, and the protocol runs for 4 hours 30 minutes.

An antibody specific for IL-17B is pre-coated on the plate; standards and samples are added, and bound IL-17B is detected using a biotinylated anti-IL-17B antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added to visualise the reaction as a blue colour which becomes yellow on stopping with acidic stop solution, with the yellow intensity proportional to the amount of IL-17B captured. Validated average recovery is 91% in serum (range 83–100%, n=5), 95% in EDTA plasma (91–100%, n=5) and 96% in heparin plasma (91–101%, n=5), with dilution linearity tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample matrices. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
