Human Interleukin 16 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human IL-16 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. IL-16 in standards and samples is captured by the immobilised antibody, then detected with a biotinylated anti-IL-16 antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm. The reported assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.1 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Validated recovery data: serum averaged 91% (range 83-100%, n=5), EDTA plasma averaged 96% (range 90-103%, n=5), and heparin plasma averaged 95% (range 89-102%, n=5). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each). Kit components include pre-coated strips, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
