Human Interleukin 15 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin 15 (IL-15). The kit is intended for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and the result is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 6.8 pg/ml. The platform is a pre-coated 96-well microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Standards and samples are bound by an immobilized antibody specific for IL-15, detected with a biotinylated anti-IL-15 antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to the IL-15 concentration in each well.

Reported recovery values from the manufacturer include serum (range 83% – 100%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (90% – 103%, average 96%, n=5) and heparin plasma (89% – 102%, average 95%, n=5), with dilution linearity data provided at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types.
