Human Interleukin 1 Receptor Type II ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin 1 Receptor Type II (IL-1R-2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate with a colorimetric detection method read on a microplate reader at 450 nm.

Standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with an antibody specific for IL-1R-2, followed by a biotinylated anti-IL-1R-2 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a yellow product whose density is proportional to IL-1R-2 concentration; values are then calculated against a standard curve. Reported sensitivity is <6.1 pg/ml, the assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
