Human Interleukin 1 Family, Member 9 ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human IL-36 gamma/IL-1F9 (Interleukin 1 Family, Member 9). It is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed against human samples.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for IL-36 gamma/IL-1F9 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and the target analyte binds to the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IL-36 gamma/IL-1F9 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then added to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of IL-36 gamma/IL-1F9 is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

Reported performance specifications include a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.9 pg/ml. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate platform configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components are to be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
