Human Interleukin-1 beta ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Human Interleukin-1 beta ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin-1 beta in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and other biological fluids.

The kit applies a quantitative sandwich immunoassay on a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip microplate. Standards or samples are added to the wells together with a biotin-conjugated monoclonal antibody specific for IL-1ß, followed by Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) and a TMB (3,3',5,5'-tetramethyl-benzidine) substrate solution. The enzymatic reaction is terminated with a sulphuric acid solution and the colour change is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 2 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader. The kit has an assay range of 2-400 pg/ml, a sensitivity of < 2 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 3h 30m.

Validated specificity data show no cross-reactivity with various other cytokines super-family proteins, and the assay can detect both natural and recombinant human IL-1ß. Two calibration diluents are supplied: Calibrator Diluent I for serum/plasma testing and Calibrator Diluent II for cell culture supernatant testing. The kit is shipped and stored at 4°C.
