Human Interferon Regulatory Factor 9 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com, designed for the quantitative determination of human Interferon Regulatory Factor 9 (IRF-9) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. An antibody specific for IRF-9 is pre-coated onto a microplate; standards and samples are added and the analyte is captured. A Biotinylated Anti-IRF-9 Antibody is then applied, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate, and the reaction is visualised with TMB substrate. The resulting yellow product is read at 450 nm on a colourimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated against a standard curve.

Performance characteristics quoted by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of <0.042 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as directed. In validation studies with n=5 per matrix, average recovery was 91% (range 80–102%) in serum, 90% (81–100%) in EDTA plasma, and 84% (80–89%) in heparin plasma, with dilution linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types.
