Human Interferon-gamma ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interferon-Gamma in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a quantitative sandwich immunoassay format on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with colorimetric detection read at 450nm ± 2nm on a microplate reader, and a total assay time of 2h 30m. The kit is shipped and stored at 4°C.

An HRP-conjugated monoclonal antibody specific for IFN-γ is used to "sandwich" the analyte after capture by the pre-coated antibody, with a TMB (3,3',5,5'-tetramethyl-benzidine) substrate solution and a sulphuric acid stop. The kit recognizes both natural and recombinant human IFN-γ, and the manufacturer states no detectable cross-reactivity with human SAA, EGF, IL-6, IL-8, IL-16, M-CSF, GM-CSF, TGF-ß1, RANTES, FGF, MIP-1a, CRP, or EPO. The product range is 7.5-1600 pg/ml and the sensitivity is < 7.5 pg/ml.

Two calibration diluents are provided: Calibrator Diluent I for serum/plasma testing and Calibrator Diluent II for cell culture supernatant/urine testing. The standard is diluted 2-fold with the appropriate diluent and assayed alongside the samples to generate a standard curve of Optical Density versus IFN-γ concentration (pg/mL), from which sample concentrations are determined.
