Human Interferon Gamma ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interferon gamma. The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

An antibody specific for Interferon gamma is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added and any Interferon gamma present is bound by the immobilised antibody; a Biotinylated Anti-Interferon gamma Antibody is then added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450nm in a microplate reader. Reported sensitivity is <11.74 pg/ml and the measuring range is 31.2-2000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. The platform is a pre-coated microplate comprising 12 x 8-well strips, read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Recovery values reported by the manufacturer include 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Kit components comprise a lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
