Human Interferon Alpha ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interferon alpha 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and follows a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format in which a biotinylated anti-Interferon alpha 1 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate are added sequentially, with signal developed by TMB substrate and read at 450 nm. The procedure has an assay time of approximately 4h 30m and is run on a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer, the standard curve covers a range of 7.81–500 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <3.0 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing reports averages of 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (80–89%). Linearity has been assessed across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
