Human Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of human ICAM5 (Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips and employs a biotinylated anti-ICAM5 detection antibody with HRP-avidin and a TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Sensitivity is reported as less than 0.068 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery ranges are 80–102% for serum (n=5, average 91%), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%) and 80–89% for heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%). Manufacturer documentation also provides linearity data at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.

The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X concentrate), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
