From Antibodies.com, this is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of human ICAM3 (Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 3). It is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and uses a biotinylated anti-ICAM3 detection antibody with HRP-avidin and a TMB substrate. The colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance proportional to the ICAM3 concentration in each well.

The reported standard curve range is 0.781–50 ng/ml, and the assay sensitivity is 0.4 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Kit components are intended for storage at –20 °C or +4 °C as instructed on the component label, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5 per matrix). Mean recoveries were 80–102 % for serum, 81–100 % for EDTA plasma and 80–89 % for heparin plasma. Across serial sample dilutions (1:2 to 1:16), recoveries remained broadly within the 74–108 % range across the three matrices tested.
