From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human ITIH1/SHAP in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. Standards and samples are captured by an antibody pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, then detected using a biotinylated anti-ITIH1/SHAP antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and concentration calculated from a standard curve.

Performance specifications include a product range of 31.2–2000 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <15.7 ng/ml. The assay runs on a pre-coated 96-well plate arranged as 12 × 8-well strips with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. The kit contains a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Reported sample recovery (n=5) is 80–102% in serum, 81–100% in EDTA plasma and 80–89% in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 spans 74–107% in serum, 79–108% in EDTA plasma and 82–105% in heparin plasma.
