Human Integrin Beta 4 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Integrin beta 4 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for Integrin beta 4 pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate, with a biotinylated detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Captured Integrin beta 4 is visualised using TMB substrate, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; the concentration of Integrin beta 4 is calculated from the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and detection is colourimetric. Recovery has been characterised in serum (n=5, 83%–99%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 80%–99%, average 89%) and heparin plasma (n=5, 82%–99%, average 90%). Linearity data for the same matrices across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are also provided in the product literature.
