Human Integrin Alpha 2B ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of human Integrin Alpha 2B (also known as CD41) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and runs in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit offers a sensitivity of <0.052 ng/ml and a working assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. A CD41-specific capture antibody is pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-CD41 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with colour intensity directly proportional to the amount of CD41 captured in each well. Kit reagents are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed.

Validation data show average spike-and-recovery values of 91% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma and 94% in heparin plasma. Dilutional linearity was demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
