Human Insulin Like Protein 5 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Insulin Like Protein 5 (INSL5) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) pre-coated with an antibody specific for INSL5. Standards and samples are added to the wells; following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-INSL5 antibody binds the captured INSL5. After further washing, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added, and TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction. Addition of acidic stop solution produces a yellow colour whose intensity is read at 450 nm and is used to calculate INSL5 concentration from the standard curve.

The stated assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.054 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery (n=5) for undiluted serum is 80-102% (average 91%), for EDTA plasma 81-100% (average 90%), and for heparin plasma 80-89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma.
