Human Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 4 (IGFBP4) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for IGFBP4 pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added and become bound to the immobilised antibody, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-IGFBP4 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the density of yellow proportional to the amount of IGFBP4 captured, read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The reported assay range is 3.12-200 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.13 ng/ml. The assay is run on a colorimetric microplate reader and is suitable for use with human serum, plasma or other biological fluids. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-101%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Linearity has been evaluated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for each of these sample types.
