Manufactured by Antibodies.com for research use, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 1 (IGFBP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Capture antibody specific for IGFBP1 is pre-coated onto a microplate, and detection is achieved using a biotinylated anti-IGFBP1 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is generated with TMB substrate, producing a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

Quantitative performance is supported by a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.061 ng/ml. Reported average recovery is 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 91% in EDTA plasma (range 81–101%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 gave ranges of 74–107% in serum, 79–108% in EDTA plasma and 82–105% in heparin plasma. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and reagents are stored at either +4°C or −20°C as labelled.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer concentrate (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers. The Stop Solution is acidic and appropriate protective equipment (gloves, mask, goggles, lab coat) should be worn; TMB Substrate is light sensitive. The kit is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
