Human Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 Receptor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 Receptor (IGF1 Receptor) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with absorbance measured at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit offers a sensitivity of <0.105 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. An antibody specific for IGF1 Receptor is pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-IGF1 Receptor antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The HRP enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the density of yellow proportional to the amount of IGF1 Receptor captured in each well.

Recovery was assessed with serum (n=5) ranging 83-100% and averaging 91%, EDTA plasma (n=5) ranging 90-103% and averaging 96%, and heparin plasma (n=5) ranging 89-102% and averaging 95%. Recovery across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions was also reported for all three sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
