Human Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 ELISA Kit

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF1) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The format uses a pre-coated microplate with an immobilised anti-IGF1 capture antibody. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-IGF1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colourmetric microplate reader and IGF1 concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The quantitative assay range is 0.625-40 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.276 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values are 91% in serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5), with dilution linearity reported across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions for each matrix. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
