Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich ELISA for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Insulin Degrading Enzyme (IDE) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a biotinylated anti-IDE detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, developed with TMB substrate and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Performance figures from the manufacturer include a standard curve range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 22.7 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4h 30m. Reported spike-and-recovery ranges are 80%-102% for serum (average 91%, n=5), 81%-100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%, n=5) and 80%-89% for heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 spanned 87-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma and 82-105% for heparin plasma (each n=5).

Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past the stated expiration date.
